The original two-story Lincoln School was built in 1916. East and west additions were added in 1922. The “portable” came in 1929; 10 years later the site was completed with the addition of a gymnasium. The school served thousands of students before being shuttered in 1978.

So i have been really into doors lately. i'm not really sume but the geometry if them works i guess. The first three are from the town of easton (or what is left of it) the fourth on is from my latest trip to yakima and its deteriating downtown area.

we went to mount rainier national park this weekend and went hiking. i also was able to work on my scout camp picture project was well.

Spring camporee

I went to our district camporee at Ensign ranch for work and while I was there I passed the time by taking pictures for a scout camp project I have been working on slowly. Ensign Ranch is owned by the LDS church and operates girls camp during the summer they also do Scout camp or encampments. It looks like any other summer camp complete with stuff just sitting around for no reason.

i have been busy

work right now is in its busy season and it will slow down again in july. so that is why no posts in almost a month

On my last trip to yakima we drove by this abandoned oil company. there was a gas station out side or what was left of it and a fuel truck. This company was a part of the exxon corp.

across the street

here are some pictures of across the street of the abandoned farm. this one was demolished and left in a pile of what used to be a house.

there are alot of abandoned farms in washington especially the further from cities you go. some just sit there with stuff still inside and some get bulldozed and left in a pile by the road.

i drove up to the scout camp that i used to work at and was able to walk thru the snow to get some photographs. the whole camp was under about 3 feet of snow. it started to rain then snow while i was up in the camp but i was able to shoot a few rolls.
